Well done to the children who took part in the two day cycle training course.  We hope you all learnt a lot about road safety and taking care when cycling from this training.  If you wish to come to school on your bicycle, please remember to be very careful of other people coming to school, do not cycle across the car park and be sure to dismount from your bike at the top of the footpath.  Do not cycle into school on your bike.  You must lock your bike up if you are bringing it to school.

Some of our Year 3 children took part in the Stratford Story festival with other local schools on Friday evening and performed their own twisted fairy tale ‘The Basket and little Red Riding Hood’. Their acting skills were flawless, as was their behaviour.  Thank you to them, the understudies and their parents.  Everyone put in a huge amount of effort.  Well Done.

Following last year’s extremely successful whole school trip to the Spa Centre in Leamington, we have decided this will go ahead again this year.  We have booked tickets for the children to see the pantomime ‘Cinderella’.  Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be attending on 16th December and the older children will be going on 18th December.  Once again we will be travelling by coach and the whole cost of the trip is being funded by the school.  If however, you do not wish your child to go then please send a note into the school office as soon as possible, as we have to pay for the tickets by the end of next week.

A huge thank you to Jo Hancox and everyone who helped to make Saturday’s Christmas Fair a great success.  Along with the Santa letters, nearly £800.00 profit has been made, which is a fantastic amount and this will go towards purchasing items for every child here at Bishopton.  Please remember that these events could not take place without lots of organising and preparation so please, if you are ever able to help at future events, it would be very much appreciated.
